The idea of planned obsolescence was developed during the post WW2 mass production dilemma. It was supposed to become the new way of life and it did. The problem is that it assumed an infinite availability of resources in a finite environment. Peak oil was just a funny theory the ecology wasn't of much concern either. It was more important to sell things... and it still is. Once the market reaches saturation, they'll produce the next thing and then the next, until the the price of depleting non-essentials affects the economic viability of the final product.

Previous election in NY 23 the Democrats got 35% of the vote. This time they got 49% and won the seat. Any way you look at it they still increased their share of the vote by a huge percentage. |

See @grayworg's comment above.It's fake, but the image has not been photoshopped. Glass is used to give the illusion that they are sitting in a jeep exposed to a jumping lion, when in fact they are completely protected.I hate it when an image on digg is immediately assumed to be shopped just because it's different or seemingly impossible.

He has beat Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Antonio Nogueria (twice), Mark Coleman (twice), Renato Sobral, Heath Herring, and Ricardo Arona. Those are some pretty respectable names. 4 heavyweight champs in that list that I know of. Combine that with the dominate fashion of many of his victories and you have an argument to say he is the best. I am not saying he is the best, but you can make a valid argument.

What jobs? The ones that we keep shipping to China?We don't NEED this many laborers in this country anymore. What did people expect to happen?The only way we'll get the jobs back is when our incomes more closely match those of the countries we keep shipping jobs to.But at least China provides health care, so it takes the cost away from the companies who do business there, making it MUCH more attractive to them.
