People have this weird idea that complexity somehow spontaneously gives rise to intelligence, as if you just keep piling on transistors and at some point you tip the scale and give rise to strong AI. Not to mention that your life is more than the sum of your genes... natural occurrences and interactions with others (and the actions OF others, even if they aren't with you) make far more of an influence IMO.IE Let's say you find out you're susceptible to cancer.
